Biography
Ms Tahmina Pearsall is a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon (MBBS, FRCOphth) on the GMC specialist register for ophthalmology, with more than 35 years in eye care and over 40,000 eye procedures performed.
Her NHS consultant practice is based at Surrey & Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust, where she operates on cataract and glaucoma patients and supervises training. Her training took her through Moorfields Eye Hospital, St Thomas' Hospital in London and Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge — three of the highest-volume ophthalmic units in the UK.
In private practice she consults at 17 clinics across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, with a London base on Harley Street. What sets her practice apart operationally is continuity: she personally performs the biometry scans, the surgery itself and every post-operative review, rather than delegating parts of the pathway to different clinicians.
Her surgical interests are cataract surgery (including complex and post-LASIK eyes), refractive lens exchange with premium intraocular lenses, laser vision correction and glaucoma surgery. She is a member of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists, the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, the UK Society of Glaucoma Surgeons, the British Society for Refractive Surgery and the European Societies of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons and of Glaucoma Surgeons.
Every private fee is quoted in writing before surgery and includes scans, the procedure and 12 months of consultant-led aftercare.
